"I
have been in the probation field for almost 30 years. I have been the department's training manager for the last 5 years. The department discovered
Island Consulting
last September. We brought them in for the leadership seminar for our Senior Deputies and management staff. I can tell you
without hesitation, the instructor's training is unique, exciting, and will bring positive changes to your staff and organization.
We brought Island Consulting back for three days in February, 2008. The results were outstanding.
Staff internalized the material, demonstrated their understanding of the information and were able to present the material
to the class. The excitement generated by the instructor and our staff was remarkable. I cannot recommend
Island Consulting more highly.”

“During
my twenty-year career, this is the best training I have participated in.”
The seminar provides an interactive opportunity
for participants to examine issues critical to effective, competent and positive leadership in the workplace. The seminar has been delivered successfully
to all levels within the probation setting, including the DPO series and corrections officers. We specifically designed
this course to assist in the development of critical members, both—present and future—of your leadership
team. While this course is designed to be delivered as a seminar, each class can stand alone. A combination of courses
may be selected to foster a design to meet specific departmental needs.
“I was assigned to take [The Leadership Seminar:
Ethical Decision Making, Learning Styles, and Career and Organizational Development] with about 20 other members of the department. I attended the training and …
it was without a doubt the best training that I have attended in my 19 years with this department. Our instructor had keen
insight into the future of this department and challenged us to share in that vision. Not only did we have the challenge of
looking at our careers, and our fit in the future here, but we had a team building experience that will enhance our ability
to work together as a team. We
all left the training with a renewed hope for the future of our department, and the role that we play in it. …”
